Korean Air Lines’ unionized pilots agreed on Friday to strike after weeks of voting by the union resulted in a majority saying “yes” to strike.

If the strike goes ahead, it would be Korean Air’s first such work stoppage since 2005, when a four-day walkout disrupted flight services, costing the company about 67 billion won ($54 million) in losses because of disturbances including canceled flights, the airline claimed.
