Some Hawaiian Airlines pilots are frustrated over how long it’s taking to bargain their next contract.

On April 14, the Hawaiian Airlines Master Executive Council — part of the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) — voted to conduct a strike authorization ballot. Voting on that strike ballot begins Monday, April 25.

Council spokesman Hoon Lee, a pilot of 17 years, said if the strike vote passes, it would authorize the council to declare a strike.
